The 2021 Ford Kuga Hybrid SUV travels for 1,000 km

As an SUV based on the Ford Focus, the Ford Kuga Hybrid joins the mid-range segment. The new 2021 Ford Kuga Hybrid combines a 2.5 liter gasoline engine with 112 kW / 152 hp with a 92 kW / 125 hp strong electric motor and has a total output of 140 kW / 190 hp. The sprint from 0 to 100 km / h takes 9.5 seconds and the top speed is 196 km / h.

Ford specifies the average consumption for the hybrid at 5.3 to 5.4 liters. The 54 liter petrol tank enables ranges of up to 1,000 kilometers without refueling. Power is transmitted by a continuously variable automatic transmission. The liquid-cooled battery with a capacity of 1.1 kWh allows shorter distances to be covered purely electrically. The battery in the Ford Kuga Hybrid is charged while driving or through recuperation of the braking energy.

The Ford Kuga is also available with a 1.5 liter petrol engine in the expansion stages with 88 kW / 120 PS and 110 kW / 150 PS as well as a plug-in hybrid with 165 kW / 224 PS. A 1.5-liter diesel (88 kW / 120 PS) and a two-liter diesel with 110 kW / 150 PS and 140 kW / 190 PS are also available. The more powerful 2.0 variant has all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic; In the weaker version, a 48-volt belt starter generator is used, which makes the Kuga a mild hybrid.
