The new Audi Q4 e-tron: images and info

Audi has released the first images with the interior of the Q4 e-tron electric SUV. The electric car measures 4.6 meters long and 1.86 meters wide, features that place it in the segment of compact SUVs, as a direct rival for the BMW ix3 and Mercedes-Benz EQC. Developed on the new MEB architecture of the Volkswagen Group, dedicated exclusively to electric cars, the new Audi Q4 e-tron promises a wheelbase of 2.76 meters.

The interior is easily accessible due to the generous opening of the doors and offers space for five passengers. The cabin also adds generous storage space. Audi boasts a total of 24.8 litres, including the glove box. The armrest has a capacity of 4.4 litres, and the door pockets have been positioned above to facilitate access to bottles up to one litre. The trunk offers a capacity of 520 litres, which is close to what we find on rival models in the segment.

As expected, the new model introduces new technologies. The most important is, by far, the new Augmented Reality Head-Up Display. It provides information on two levels. The first of them, static, which seems to be projected at a distance of 3 meters in front of the driver, provides details about speed, safety systems, traffic signs. The second area is dedicated to guidance information. Arrows will appear on the windshield that appears projected at a distance of 10 meters in front of the car, to indicate a turn or entry on a street.

Beneath this impressive display, which looks similar to the one used by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Audi Q4 e-tron offers 10.2-inch digital instrumentation that can be ordered with several levels of complexity.

The steering wheel is also futuristic and marks a new Audi premiere. It has only two spokes and the e-throne logo. There are illuminated touch zones that take the place of the buttons.

The seats are also the most advanced installed so far on an Audi. Of course, they can be ordered with electric adjustment and heating, and the colour range includes four shades, including a brown and a beige. Customers can opt for leather, artificial leather and Nappa leather.

The new Audi Q4 e-tron would be launched in the first part of this year.
