The new NIO ET7 fully-electric sedan from China

The new NIO ET7 electric car will only be available with all-wheel drive, with a 180 kW electric motor (permanently excited) pulling on the front axle, and a 300 kW electric motor at the rear. The system output is 480 kW, with a maximum torque of 850 Newton meters. For the standard sprint, Nio promises a time of 3.9 seconds. The dimensions: the total length is 5,098 mm, the wheelbase is 3,060 mm. Nio specifies the width as 1,987 mm.

Although delivery is not due to begin until 2022, the NIO ET7 fully-electric sedan can be ordered immediately, but initially, only the versions with 70 and 100 kW battery are available. In terms of computing power, Nio cooperates with the chip giant Nvidia. The Chinese build four Orin chips into the ET7, creating 1,016 tensor operations (TOPS) per second. The Orin chips are the heart of the new on-board computer.

On the subject of price: Nio is asking for a purchase price of around 56,000 euros for the basic model with the smallest battery. If you want to rent the battery pack, you have to invest around 48,000 euros and then plan to rent around 190 euros a month. The premium model with 100 kW battery costs a little more than 10,000 euros.
