The new Segway APEX H2 electric motorcycle

The Segway Apex H2 appears to be a sequel to the Segway Apex, an electric motorcycle first introduced by the company in late 2019. At the time, Segway shocked the Internet with the introduction of its first electric motorcycle.

On the new hybrid motorcycle, the company added a hydrogen fuel cell to the Apex and redesigned the frame to provide a new futuristic design. Fueling hydrogen tanks could be replaced and refilled, which would significantly reduce the time required for recharging compared to a conventional electric motorcycle.

The unique problem is that the motorcycle uses both electricity and hydrogen to power the Segway Apex H2. This means that a network is needed to replace the hydrogen canisters.

According to the company, the model has the capacity to run with about 80 horsepower and will reach a top speed of 150 kilometres per hour. The Segway Apex H2 electric hydrogen hybrid motorcycle would also use a suspension system similar to James Parker's Rotationally Advanced Design Development (RADD).

According to data provided by the company, the new Segway APEX H2 uses 1 g of hydrogen per 1 km travelled.

By 2023, the company says it will launch the new model at a price of about 9,000 euros which places it above the cost of a Zero entry-level electric motorcycle and twice the price of a SONDORS motorcycle.

Customers interested in the model can book it for free between April 1, 2021 - April 30, 2021. The model will be officially launched when the number of reservations reaches 99.
